Coach Debbie has passion that is never ending and loves teaching, playing, and coaching the best two sports around; Hockey and Ringette.
Born in White Rock, BC, Debbie has player in both the Boys and Girls Association representing White Rock Minor Hockey, Surrey Female Hockey, Richmond Sr. AAA Lighting and Langley Minor Hockey. Through her journey she played 4 years with the Vancouver AAA Selects, 2 years with the 49th Parallel, and was an active member in the BC Best Female Performance group from 1993-1998.
Debbie participated and won 2 Gold Medals with her Zone 3 BC Hockey Winter Games team as an Assistant Captain and 1 Gold Medal game with her Zone 3 BC Ringette Winter Games as a Captain. In 1995, Debbie played on the Hockey Canada Winter Games team, as well as the Ringette Jr. National Team. These experiences lead her to the 1997 Hockey Team Canada Try-outs.
Debbie has played a combined 5 years of Professional Women’s ice hockey with the Vancouver Griffins (NWHL), Durham Lightning (NWHL), Quebec Avalanche(NWHL) and BC Breakers (WWHL) and was drafted by the Calgary Inferno of the Canadian Women’s Hockey League in 2016. Throughout her professional career Debbie attended both the University of New Hampshire in 1998-99 (NCAA Div I) on a full ride Hockey Scholarship as well as obtained a second full ride scholarship to at Quinnipiac University Women’s Ice Hockey Program where she played and captained her team in her final year. Throughout her playing career, Debbie maintained a balanced life that includes both coaching teams and teaching on ice programs. She started her first Coaching Career move while in Quebec and became the Assistant Coach in 2005 at Montreal’s Bialik High School. Through the years of 2006 to present Debbie has Head coached Surrey Female Midget A, Fraser Valley Phantom Major Midget, Lower Mainland Monarchs (2013-2017) and has been both a Head / Assistant Coach in the Mission Minor Hockey Association since 2013.
In 2016, Debbie was selected to attend the Female U16 Identification and Development Camp in Richmond and Salmon Arm and was asked once again to coach a Female Major Midget Team (declined due to BHOH expansion). Coach Debbie, a former player in the BC Hockey Program has contributed back to BC Hockey with being an Assistant Coach for Zone 5 BC Winter Games and attended and facilitated many on ice programs including the BC Hockey and Vancouver Canucks First Strides Program since 2014.
Today, Coach Debbie owns and operates Beaudies House of Hockey, Skating and Ringette and is currently involved with the Power Skating Development with Chilliwack and Delta Ringette as well with Langley and Surrey Minor Hockey, and Langley and Abbotsford Female Hockey.
Coach Debbie’s infinite amount of knowledge in coaching and playing at the female and male levels has contributed to her extensive experiences as an instructor, coach and player. Coach Debbie’s unique playing experiences allows her to understand each individual’s player development and properly progress players throughout their playing careers. Debbie is honored to have worked with players from Connecticut, Ontario, Montreal, Japan and British Columbia. Her players in BC come from all associations; Chilliwack, Mission, Abbotsford, Aldergrove, Langley, Surrey, Cloverdate, Semiahmoo, Delta, Pitt Medows, Coquitlam, Vancouver, Richmond, and Whislter.
Debbie is well known to the Fraser Valley, BC Hockey and Vancouver Canucks First Stride program to her dedication, professionalism and providing the best programs for individuals. She understands player progression, skill development, proper skating technique and specializes in power skating for both Hockey and Ringette Players.
